Credentials
Anna Mestre is the managing partner and founder of MA. She graduated in 1987, She obtained a Masters Degree in Shipping at IME (ICADE) in Madrid. After three years of Marine Law practice and Insurance in London, she started legal practice in Madrid and Barcelona, where she established the firm as from 1994.
She is a current member of the Barcelona Bar Association and to the Maritime law Commission of the Bar. She is the Secretary General of the Maritime Committee of Catalonia, member of the Spanish Maritime Law Association and member of the Instituto Iberoamericamo de Derecho Maritimo. She is a regular Spanish delegate of the Spanish Committee at the ICC transport commission in Paris. She is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and of the Propeller Club in Barcelona.

Anna is a regular lecturer in the Master
of Shipping Business at the Polytechnics University of Catalonia
(UPC) in Barcelona and at the Bar Association of Barcelona,
amongst other Institutions. She is regular contributor to various
national and international publications. She regularly lectures
in International Shipping Forums.
Areas of expertise
Anna specialises in marine, insurance and trade litigation involving charter-party disputes, sea carriage, collision, salvage, General Average, ship arrest and P&I disputes, amongst other. She is also specialised in Road transport and Aviation and has a strong practice in Yachting, ship sale, construction and Arbitration.
