Carl joined MA in 2007. After his legal studies
in Germany and an academic year at the Complutense University
in Madrid, he settled in Barcelona in 2000, where he worked
for the following six years as an associate in another shipping
law firm. In 1999 Carl obtained a Master for European Law (Magister
Legum Europae) at the University in Hanover (Germany) and in
2003 a Master for Port Management (Operaciones Portuarias) at
the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
Areas of expertise

Carl's main areas of expertise are CMR disputes,
Claim Recoveries and Ship Arrest. Carl elaborated several articles
concerning different Spanish Law matters published in various
legal journals.

- Carl's mother tongue is German, he is also fluent in English and Spanish.
Hobbies
- His pleasure activities are sailing, windsurfing, vintage cars and art.
